Authorities identified a man from Kentucky, Logan Insko, and a woman from Quebec, Sylvie Corriveau, as the two people killed in a crash on Interstate 40 on Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Initial reports suggest that the multi-car collision began when a tractor-trailer rear-ended a car on I-40 near Tennessee 385 exit, setting off a chain reaction crash.  The crash lead to two deaths and several others being injured.  The tractor-trailer driver Joshua Richardson, of Jackson, TN was not injured.

Although the exact cause of the wreck is not yet know, this tragic incident serves as a reminder of just how catastrophic wrecks involving tractor-trailers can be. Typically when there is a wreck resulting in death, the Tennessee Highway Patrol conducts a thorough crash investigation and reconstruction.  This can often take weeks to complete.

In the meantime, it is important for the families of any victims of traffic fatalities to obtain a competent and experienced truck wreck attorney immediately.  The trucking company likely had attorneys and reconstruction experts at the scene and they are already working on ways to defend a lawsuit. Every day that goes by is a day where evidence can potentially be damaged, lost or destroyed.
